Alfred Nicayenzi is a seasoned financial executive with over 20 years of experience in banking, capital markets development, alternative investments, and infrastructure financing, including real estate development. Beginning his career in the banking sector, Alfred transitioned into private equity, playing a pivotal role in pioneering ventures focused on Africa. He has led landmark private equity transactions across the continent and established specialized financial institutions in Nigeria, Ghana, and Cameroon.

With extensive experience in over 20 African countries and emerging markets in Latin America and Asia, Alfred has spearheaded capital market and mortgage finance initiatives in Kenya and the UEMOA monetary union (West Africa). Additionally, he serves as a guest lecturer at the Wits Business School in Johannesburg, South Africa.

Alfred holds an MBA in Finance from Clark Atlanta University and is currently a Managing Director for Elimu Africa, where he leads strategic financial initiatives and growth efforts.

Robert Fogler is a seasoned corporate lawyer and investor with extensive experience in business across more than fifteen countries in sub-Saharan Africa. He began his career as a corporate lawyer with leading law firms in the United States, focusing on corporate finance and mergers & acquisitions. Over the years, Robert has represented companies in a wide range of corporate financings, including initial public listings, venture capital, private equity, and complex debt structures. His professional background also includes serving as Chief Legal Officer, COO, and CFO in various organizations.

As an investor, Robert managed a pioneering venture capital fund in East Africa, supporting projects such as the development of a greenfield residential neighborhood. Additionally, he has served as an Adjunct Professor at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver, teaching graduate courses on Capital Markets in Africa and Political Risk Analysis.

Robert holds degrees in law, philosophy, and mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan. He currently serves as a Managing Director for Elimu Africa.

Mothusi has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. From a private sector perspect, more recently he worked for the KwaZulu-Natal Office of the Premier where he worked in the HIV & AIDS Chief Directorate, and further held the position of Secretary of the Provincial War on Poverty Programme.The key focus areas of this programme were:

1. Food security;
2. Fighting poverty, HIV and AIDS and TB; and
3. Empowerment of women and youth.

Thereafter, he worked for a Non-Profit Organisation where he held the position of Programme Leader for an innovative Tuberculosis Programme which was funded by USAID through the University Research Council (URC).

Mothusi is currently the Managing Director of African Mega Consortium, and is an Executive Director for Elimu Africa LLC.

He holds a Business Management degree, with majors in Business Management and Financial Management.

Sias Scott is an experienced leader in the development, construction, and project management sectors, with over 20 years of expertise guiding complex property development projects from concept to completion. His career spans various roles, including positions as Director of Development Management for leading firms such as KWJ Consulting and Urban4Site. Sias has a proven track record of managing large-scale residential, retail, and commercial developments, specializing in project feasibility, stakeholder management, and turnkey project delivery.

Throughout his career, Sias has overseen the successful delivery of numerous high-impact projects, including the Carnival Green, Emoyeni, and Crystal Park developments, where he served as the lead project manager responsible for the full implementation on behalf of key stakeholders. His technical expertise covers areas such as cost modeling, value engineering, and contract administration, ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards.

Sias holds an Advanced Project Management Diploma and brings a wealth of knowledge in project planning, quality management, and development strategy. His leadership is central to Elimu Africa’s commitment to delivering sustainable and innovative student accommodation across the continent.
